Health for All Hosts Full-Day Workshop for Frontline Workers
On May 3, 2013, Health for All held its first full-day workshop for frontline workers on Migration and Health, looking at the intersection of the immigration system, politics and health within the context of a history of oppression in Canada. We had approximately 40 attendees that made up frontline workers from community health centres, settlement services, municipal social services and more.
Some of the feedback we received:
“I will use this information directly in my practice with clients. I will be passing on what I’ve learned to my coworkers so that they are also able to use it to educate their practice.”
